Bangalore Storytelling Festival

I spent 2016 Christmas eve in Kuching, East Malaysia. In the middle of the day was a storytelling cum craft at the State Library. I wasn't sure what to expect because i had never met my host, Yit Ping, and I have never told stories in Malaysia.  I was appreciative of the wonderful hospitality given me by Yit Ping, a lady passionate about books and her 3 kids.  My husband and I  enjoyed being immersed in the food culture of Kuching.  Much more, i enjoyed meeting the children at the State Library of Kuching.  They were a mixture of different nationalities both local and foreign, a mixture of abilities as well but all very polite.   I went home with gifts from the Library as well as sweet memories of all the children.
